In the UK’s agricultural heartland, innovation is quietly reshaping the food supply chain to tackle waste, inefficiency, and rising demand for quality. Drawing on deep experience in fresh food and pork supply chains, we developed AI-driven solutions that address these challenges from farm to shelf.

Our journey began in farming with the launch of Digital Shelf Life AI alongside Digital Catapult, reducing spinach waste at Vitacress and Sainsbury’s by 50%. With CHAP (Crop Health and Protection - one of four UK Agri-Tech Innovation Centres) we laid the groundwork for minimising waste at Farms.

In food production, our partnership with Cranswick cut pork downgrades by 23% and reduced over-slaughtering by 11% through smarter planning.

We ensured quality in transit with AI monitoring freshness during distribution. At the retail level, our insights improved Sainsbury’s product availability by 8% and sell-through by 18%.

Our work with Unilever used game theory and deep learning to forecast demand for nutritious food—proving tech can feed both efficiency and quality.

Through these innovations - We have continuously evolved alongside the changes in the food supply chain, adapting our strategies and solutions to meet emerging challenges and opportunities.
